Traditional Asian crafts with a modern design edge line the shelves at this exhibition showcasing Cambodian handmade items. After going through a very dark chapter in its history under the Khmer Rouge regime, Cambodia started to slowly rebuild with the transition to democratic rule in 1993, and now, a quarter century later, arts and crafts are making a comeback. Witness this recovery here by checking out a range of traditional crafted items, such as woven baskets made from a type of rattan or bamboo, and silks woven in the style of the Angkor kingdom, all created with modern life in mind. And if you're looking for more details, consider checking out the talks and slideshow presentations held during the exhibition.
