Whether it's painting, fashion, handicrafts, heavy metal or avant-garde performance art that gets your juices flowing, you should be able to find it at this sprawling biannual art jamboree, held at Tokyo Big Sight every spring and autumn. The first Design Festa of 2013 sees some 10,000 artists descend on the conference centre, in an event that can be exhilarating and exhausting in equal measure.
