Designtide Tokyo 2011

Formed from the ashes of Tokyo Designers Block, the annual Designtide Tokyo offers hardcore creative types a chance to show off their latest work, with a particular emphasis on interior design and commercial products. Though it overlaps with the larger Tokyo Designers Week, Designtide distinguishes itself by putting less emphasis on the trade show component: a panel discussion mulls over current issues in contemporary design, while a specially curated exhibition showcases work that 'portrays our views and aims of the year.'
