Musician and activist Yohei Miyake may have failed in his quest for a House of Councillors seat in the 2013 election, but his campaign is still fondly remembered – in fact, Miyake's 'Election Festival' was remarkable enough for gallery owner Atsuko Barouh to label it a 'social sculpture', a term pioneered by German theorist Joseph Beuys and referring to a piece of art with the potential to catalyse change in society. Look back at the party at this weekend exhibit, taking place at Barouh's Shibuya base.
