Born in Italian-occupied Croatia in 1928, Frank Horvat began his career influenced by Henri Cartier-Bresson and pursued a humanist stream of photojournalism before settling in Paris in the 1950s. In the French capital he turned to fashion, often shooting in the streets and injecting a new sense of realism into the imagery of publications including Vogue and Elle. Horvat's first large-scale exhibition in Japan, 'Un moment d’une femme' looks back at the 89-year-old's entire career through a focus on depictions of women.
