Nogizaka gallery and bookstore Books and Modern gets into the photo book publishing business with 'and Stillness', the latest monograph by veteran snapper Herbie Yamaguchi. This series, shot in eastern Europe between 1985 and 1996, documents daily life in the former Communist republics both before and after the fall of the USSR and is a testament to the vitality, diversity and energy of people and communities often depicted only as passive victims of an oppressive society.
