Time Out says

Media art collective Rhizomatiks is famous for its cross-platform projects that combine both art and cutting-edge technology – one of its most famous works is the colaboration with pop idol group Perfume. Now, the company has embarked on a new project, set to take over the historic Zojo-ji Temple near Tokyo Tower.

This public art installation fuses tradition with the latest multimedia technology. One of the 13 special projects under the Tokyo Tokyo Festival, ‘Coded Field’ is a participatory performance, in which you will be equipped with hand-held devices that emit light and sound to help create an immersive installation.

Even though the event is free, you'd have to register online in advance to participate. Registration details to be announced at a later date.
