Time Out says

Consisting of around 80 pieces drawn from the Louvre's massive collection, this Roppongi display traces the development of genre painting, i.e. the depiction of everyday subjects, from the Renaissance to the mid-19th century. Artists from a variety of eras and schools are represented, ranging from Dutch masters like Rembrandt and Vermeer to French realists including Chardin and Jean-François Millet. Surely one of this spring's must-see exhibitions.
