Time Out says

One of the first contemporary art museums in Japan, the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art was opened in 1979 by founder and current director Toshio Hara. It's known for both hosting various temporary exhibitions and actively seeking out new items to add to their permanent collection. In a first for the museum, Hara himself has curated a selection of the 1000-plus item museum archive, including paintings, 3D objects, sculptures, installations and photographs, all created since the 1950s. The exhibition itself is split into two parts, the former of which focuses on art collected during the 1970s and 1980s, while the latter is all about artworks which have been exhibited at the museum throughout the years.
