Ninnami Dohachi: An Observant and Brilliant Potter

One of the premier Kyoto potter masters of the Edo era, Ninnami Dohachi is renowned as a giant of the Kyoyaki (Kyoto ceramics) style that flourished during the first half of the 19th century. This exhibition attests to his diverse talents with displays of items like tea sets, pots and tableware for kaiseki while also featuring pieces by his father, Takahashi Dohachi I and his contemporaries, as well as by the current (ninth) holder of the Takahashi Dohachi name.
