Time Out says

This exhibition features both recent works by currently active artists as well as older pieces from the 1995 public art showcase Ripple Across the Water '95. The 1995 exhibition, which was held across 40 different venues, was organised in the wake of the Tokyo subway sarin gas attack to help restore a sense of hope to the city.

Now that Tokyo is in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the Watari Museum of Contemporary Art saw an opportunity to once again use art to reestablish the bond between the city and its people by combining a fresh series of artworks with the retrospective collection. The eclectic range of artworks includes sculptures, paintings, videos and even a suit. Both local and international artists are featured, with noteworthy names including the likes of Keith Haring, Chim-Pom and David Hammons.
