2016 is the fifth year for Trans Arts Tokyo, the genre-crossing art project that brings creativity to abandoned urban spaces, most notably the old site of Tokyo Denki University in Kanda. That's still where most of this year's action takes place, but the event will also be moving out into the city as a whole, with a wide variety of programmes set to take place in the Ueno-Yanesen-Bunkyo area. In terms of highlights, make sure to check out the Goto-Ippachi 'art market', exhibitions and performances on October 29 (2pm-7pm), while the '100 Colors' installation by Emmanuelle Moureaux (at Waterras) should also be worth a look. The annual urban camping event takes place on October 15 and 16, while the Oedo Beer Festival gets going from October 19.
