Steve 'Flying Lotus' Ellison's Brainfeeder label continues to intrigue with its mixture of spliff-fuelled hip hop and Sun Ra-indebted psychedelia. You can expect plenty of both at this label party, featuring a headlining set from virtuoso bassist Thundercat (aka Stephen Bruner), who's touring in support of infectious new album Apocalypse. Recent Brainfeeder signing Lapalux and LA beat scene staple Teebs lend alternately crunchy and woozy support, and look out for appearances by Tokyo-based hip hop devotees Mabanua, DJ Sarasa and Yakenohara.
