Clash

There was widespread rejoicing in some corners of the techno community when veteran producer Luke Slater announced in 2009 that he'd be reviving his most popular – and most pulverising – project. Not that Planetary Assault Systems is all about clobbering clubbers into submission, though: last year's excellent The Messenger album found space for moments of avant-garde ambience in amongst the more brutal industrial techno bangers (you can listen to the album here). Slater will be playing a live PAS set at Ageha this weekend, backed up by DJs Joel Mull and Takkyu Ishino – full-throttle stuff, by the sounds of it.
