When Japanese sound artist Ryoji Ikeda and German counterpart Carsten Nicolai were mastering their first album together as Cyclo., they became fascinated by the shapes produced when the studio meters reacted to their recordings. This visualisation process is now at the core of their work together – they produce music that's designed to be seen as much as heard. While this year's id album was a bracing listen in its own right, the duo's performance at this all-nighter promises to be something else entirely. They're supported by a range of Japanese beatmakers and sonic innovators, among them O.N.O a.k.a. MachineLive, Numb with Masato Tsutsui and Quarta330, plus motorik trio Nisennenmondai.
