Sam Shepherd is one of the brainiacs of the UK club scene: a classically trained musician and pharmacology PhD student who's even managed to adapt his jazzy two-step and house-influenced productions for a 13-piece ensemble. Expect him to cover a wide range of genres when he plays a three-hour DJ set at Unit, though make sure you also check out the second room downstairs, which is devoted to Japanese electronica mavericks including Daisuke Tanabe and Inner Science.
