One of the year's more eagerly awaited (and hopelessly overdue) dance albums was Azari & III's self-titled debut. The Toronto production duo are best known for 'Hungry for the Power' and 'Reckless (With Your Love)', a pair of floor-fillers that were practically unavoidable during the summer of 2009, yet which sounded like they might have been released during the late-'80s and early-'90s heyday of rave and Chicago house. Both tracks feature on Azari & III, a record that stands alongside Hercules & Love Affair and Chromeo in the pantheon of brilliantly executed revivalism. Producers Alphonse Lanza and Dinamo Azari will be performing live at Womb with a pair of singers, with British ghetto bass blaster Sinden in support.
