Hibiki Music Festival

Not to be confused with the Hibiki Rock Fest that took place at the start of the month, this similarly named one-day event is all about dance. Actually, its aims are a little more specific than that: the organisers are keen to introduce teens to the joys of repetitive beats, meaning that under-20s are allowed to enter without an accompanying adult. If that sounds like a recipe for chaos, rest assured that there will apparently be stringent ID checks at the booze stands. Concerned parents can also take comfort in the knowledge that their offspring are unlikely to be corrupted by a lineup that leans heavily on safe bets such as Shinichi Osawa, DJ Kaori and Tomoyuki Tanaka, though the jam-packed roster of rappers assembled by TinyVoice Production might ruffle a few feathers.
