You can always rely on Jeff Mills to save his most portentous concepts for Japan. The high priest of Detroit techno has been preparing well in advance for next year's annular eclipse, which hits the capital on the morning of May 21, 2012. After holding an eclipse-themed outdoor party here last year, he's taking things indoors for the second edition of 'Solar Frequency', though it's probably a mere taster for the mind-blowing shit that'll hit us next year. The event doubles up as a release party for Mills's latest album, The Power, which continues the sci-fi saga that began with Sleeper Wakes and The Occurrence.
