Magic, indeed. Next month sees Ninja Tune release Back on Time, a collection of recordings that prolific electronica artist Luke Vibert cranked out under his Plug drum 'n' bass moniker in the mid-'90s, then somehow managed to lose. Though the vintage of the tracks might have made them little more than a collectors' curio, they've actually held up remarkably well, serving as a reminder that this Cornish beat maestro could hold his own alongside the better-known likes of Aphex Twin and Squarepusher. The man also known as Wagon Christ, Kerrier District, Spac Hand Luke and a ton of other aliases will be doing his thing at Unit, where he's joined by eclectic Tokyo DJ Shhhhh and the dreadfully named Rok Da House.
