Outdoor party Taico Club will be hitting the mountains of Nagano Prefecture next week, and the organisers are throwing a wee pre-party on Friday to get people in the mood. Some people more than others, mind you: minimal techno fans might be left wanting, but anyone with fond memories of the mid-'90s electronica scene is in for a treat as Luke Vibert and Mike 'µ-Ziq' Paradinas head up the bill at Womb. Vibert is the producer behind Plug, Spac Hand Luke, Kerrier District and, most famously, Wagon Christ – the project to which he returned earlier this year after a lengthy hiatus. Paradinas, meanwhile, has cut a number of well-regarded albums during the past couple of decades, but these days he's best known as the head honcho of the staggeringly good Planet Mu record label. Support comes from local laptop artist Oorutaichi, who we suspect owes a bit of a stylistic debt to both of these guys.
