Back when Detroit was the go-to place for techno action in the US, Joey Beltram was cranking out some of the scene's most enduring anthems in Queens, New York. Remember 'Energy Flash'? The hoover sound? That was him. Fast forward two decades, and Beltram is still capable of inspiring dancefloor mentalism (sorry, mentasm) with his in-yer-face main room sets. Go get a good clobbering at Sound Museum Vision this Saturday, where the attractions also include a live turn from Different World (aka Detroit's Claude Young and Tokyo's Takashi Nakajima).
