Tronic Treatment

While it's become routine for DJs to slip both techno and house records into their sets, things were a lot more puritanical when Christian Smith started his trailblazing Tronic label back in 1994. After going quiet for a few years, the Swedish DJ and producer relaunched the imprint in 2009, which – perhaps not coincidentally – was the same year in which he moved to Brazil. He'll be hoisting the Tronic flag at Sound Museum Vision this weekend, accompanied by Brazilian producer Wehbba and local luminaries Ko Kimura and Q'Hey, while Australian prog house boy Jaytech tops the bill in the second room.
