Returning for its fourth year, Amnesty International's annual film festival uses a mix of documentary and fiction to highlight a range of contemporary human rights issues. The 2013 edition includes films from Japan, Spain, Italy and Norway, plus a few screenings that are in English: Justin Broadwick's The First Grader (Jan 26, 11am), based on the true story of an illiterate 84-year-old Kenyan man who enrolled himself in primary school, and Jasmine Dellal's compelling concert movie, When the Road Bends: Tales of a Gypsy Caravan (Jan 26, 5.20pm).
