Tokyo's loudest film festival returns for a special edition that promises to be as dazzling as it is deafening. Held at Kichijoji's Baus Theater, the annual Bakuon Film Festival offers a chance to catch repeat screenings of movies with memorable soundtracks – with speaker stacks on either side of the screen lending some added punch to the proceedings. This 3D version cranks up the sensory assault, with films including Wim Wenders' Pina, Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin and Tetsuaki Matsue's Flashback Memories 3D, which picked up the audience award at this year's Tokyo International Film Festival. The lineup also features a musical crossovers, including indie darlings Sotaisei Riron playing a live soundtrack for Georges Méliès' A Trip to the Moon, and a screening of Chemical Brothers concert flick Don't Think that's designed to resemble a real gig.
