Festival Cinema Brasil 2013

The 9th edition of this annual festival of Brazilian film starts in Tokyo on October 12, before heading off on a tour of the country that takes in Osaka, Kyoto and Hamamatsu. It's a varied mix of documentaries and dramas (with a focus on the former), ranging from Thelma and Louise-inspired movie Buddies to music documentary Raul – The Beginning, The End And The Middle. Most of the screenings come with English subtitles, though sadly this doesn't include football documentary Santos, 100 years of Playful Soccer or Tokiori – Creases of Time See the official website for a complete schedule.
