Morning Show: Mommy / Dallas Buyers Club

Unless you're able to deal with angst, sadness and fear first thing in the morning, you might want to steer clear of the early screenings at Shibuya's Human Trust Cinema this month: from June 11 to 17, the arthouse theatre will be blowing your eyes open with Mommy (2014), Xavier Dolan's chronicle of the turbulent relationship between an unhinged teenager and his brash single mother, while the first show of the day from June 18 to 24 will be Dallas Buyers Club (2014), in which Matthew McConaughey plays a modern-day Texas cowboy diagnosed with AIDS.
