Time Out says

Pioneering experimental filmmaker and video artist Toshio Matsumoto's best-known work is probably Funeral Parade of Roses (Bara no Soretsu, 1969), a challenging look at trans counterculture in '60s Tokyo, but the Todai graduate and later academic has also produced a wide range of even more out-there cinema. This five-part programme explores some of those avant-garde depths, including psychedelic 1969 short Extasis, Japan's first 'scanimation' film Mona Lisa (1973) and truly strange 1975 production Atman. See the website for programme details and screening times (in Japanese only).
