Westin Japan Days: 'Kokoro' of Japan

Sick of the simmering heat? Head over to the Westin Hotel in Ebisu if you're looking for a cool afternoon hangout and check out the fuurin (wind chimes) hanging in the hotel lobby. Veteran chime manufacturers Shinohara Furin Honpo's glass bells decorate Westin's latest addition to its Japan Days event series, which celebrates the kokoro (spirit) of Japanese culture this summer. With a nod to Tokyo's summer festivals, the handmade bells sport images of goldfish and fireworks, and produce calming sounds conducive to soothing weary souls.
