Time Out says

This spacious park on the east side of the Sumida River is a haven for sporty types – the north end has several tennis courts and a pair of large sports squares to take advantage of, while the south has a spacious grassy area and an athletics field. If you're feeling lazy, take a stroll around the botanic gardens, fire up the grill in the barbecue area (reservations required), or check out the Museum of Contemporary Art at the north end of the park.

Vegan Gourmet Festival

  • Food and drink events

Held in Nagoya, Kyoto and Tokyo, this fully vegan festival is a welcome celebration in meat-mad Japan. Expect a strong line-up of around 80 stalls at Kiba Park, which will sell veggie burgers, curries, burritos, doughnuts, soft-serve ice cream and plenty more. Every food stall will list the ingredients used (in Japanese), so you can be 100 percent sure that no animal was harmed or involved in the process of making your meal.
