Time Out says

School gymnasiums, churches, office lobbies, coffee shops and shrines are all considered fair game for a spot of music during Asagaya Jazz Streets, a two-day festival in which concerts are held at over 40 locations scattered around the neighborhood. The event has been slowly growing in stature (and inspiring the odd imitator) since it started in 1995. Internationally renowned pianist Yosuke Yamashita – who was the biggest name on last year's bill – returns for a solo performance at Shinmeigu Shrine, while concerts by the likes of Tsuyoshi Azuma & The Swinging Boppers and the Kazumi Tateishi Trio are sure to draw big crowds. Note that while the open-air gigs are free, you'll need a paid wristband to get into most of the participating venues, while a drink or food order is required at the shows held in cafes and restaurants.
