Azure Ray: CANCELLED

Childhood friends Maria Taylor and Orenda Fink dusted off their most well-known project just in time to take advantage of the recent surge in demand for woozy, blissed-out pop music. In the seven years that separated Drawing Down the Moon from the previous Azure Ray album, 2003's Hold on Love, both Taylor and Fink had managed to clock up a number of releases under their own names. Playing together, they peddle a sort of weightless dream folk that's shot through with just enough melancholy to keep things interesting. For their first Japan tour, they're joined by Tokyo-based baroque pop ensemble 4 Bonjour's Parties.
