More than two decades into their career, the grand survivors of London's late '80s/early '90s acid jazz scene continue to pump out immaculate funk and nu-soul. The Brand New Heavies' original lineup of Jan Kincaid, Simon Bartholomew and Andrew Levy heads to town in support of their first album in six years, Forward – and fans will be pleased to hear that they've got formidable vocalist N'Dea Davenport with them this time around.
