Shops like Shibuya's HMV observe the occasion with special sales of classic tracks in cassette form, while the Shibuya Milkyway gig spot hosts a pre-party on Friday night, inviting a tape DJ and artists like Theatre Brook frontman Taiji Sato to supply the tunes.
