Down Beat Ruler

If you feel like Unit has been celebrating its 8th anniversary for about two months now, you'd be right. In what looks like the last of the Daikanyama club's birthday bashes, it's enlisting the help of long-running roots reggae event Down Beat Ruler (which boasts an even more impressive pedigree: the first one was held back in 1987). Staple Japanese acts including The Ska Flames and Oi-Skallmates are joined by an impressive roster of international talent: Chinese-Jamaican producer Clive Chin, London's Fatman International Sound and Natty Bo and one Dawn Penn, the voice of solid-gold classic 'No No No (You Don't Love Me)'.
