Elvis Costello

With a new album on release (National Ransom, 2010), genre hopper Costello returns to Tokyo for what is being touted as a solo show. Quite what this means is, currently, anyone's guess, but we're hoping it'll be one man and his guitar, hopefully gunslinging a few of his older hits - not terribly likely, given who we're talking about here. Still, now well and truly into his elder statesman years, an Elvis Costello gig ought to be a refined and educational thing. We recommend Tokyo's younger musicians to snap up a ticket and see how its done. Tickets go on sale on January 22.
