Time Out says

Long regarded as one of the more dour voices on the US indie scene, former Red House Painters frontman Mark Kozelek has finally learned to see the funny side. New album Among the Leaves, the fifth released under his Sun Kil Moon moniker, finds the singer-songwriter detailing the travails of his existence in unexpectedly droll fashion – most notably when recounting a wretched tour of Blighty in the two-part 'UK Blues'. He'll be reprising songs from the record – and, doubtless, some other nuggets from his two-decade career – in a pair of Tokyo gigs, the first of which is held in the unconventional setting of Shinagawa's Gloria Chapel.

Mark Kozelek also plays at Mameromantic in Daikanyama on July 23
