It's been a long time since Steven Patrick Morrissey last made it to these shores: the notoriously truculent singer was due to play at Fuji Rock Festival in 2004 but cancelled at the last minute, leading to the bizarre spectacle of a Smiths covers band, These Charming Men, playing the Green Stage in his absence. His April tour – which takes in dates in Sendai, Tokyo, Fukuoka, Hiroshima and Nagoya, with an Osaka gig also mooted – will be his first Japan shows in a decade. Tickets go on sale on February 18, and will probably sell out in a jiffy.
Morrissey also plays at Zepp Tokyo on April 23-24
