A bizarre combo of alternative domestic rock and an ’80s disco atmosphere, this 'next-generation' festival is notable for at least one reason: it provides a one-off opportunity for rather less celebrated bands to play at the hallowed Budokan. This year's version features the likes of artsy rockers Androp, psych-garage heroes Okamoto's, Harajuku girls Silent Siren and drummer-turned-DJ Pierre Nakano.
