St. Petersburg Chamber Ensemble Christmas concerts

Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 dominates the classical music schedules at this time of year, but those in search of something a little more Christmasy can get their fix from the St. Petersburg Chamber Ensemble. The group have spent much of December touring the country with an unashamedly festive program, with selections including Mozart's 'Alleluia', Pachelbel's Canon and a trio of Ave Marias (by Bach/Gounod, Schubert and Cassini). Sopranos Victoria Evtodieva and Natalia Makarova guest.
