It's remarkable seeing which bands manage to make it over to Japan. As if the appearance of cult glam rockers Silverhead last weekend wasn't enough, now Tokyo is getting paid a visit by late-'70s mod revivalists The Chords. Though they were overshadowed by contemporaries The Jam at the time, this four-piece are still held in high regard on account of their first – and only – album, 1980's So Far Away. The original members reunited in 2010, and will be stopping off in Tokyo for a pair of gigs before heading off for a tour of Australia. Their first gig comes with support from local mod enthusiasts Furs (with The Collectors' Hisashi Kato) and The Five.
