The Muffs

You could be forgiven for pegging it as yet another band reunion, but The Muffs never actually split up – they just haven't been doing all that much for the past seven years. Led by the husky-voiced Kim Shattuck, the pop-punk trio are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, which provides a suitable excuse for their first trip to Japan since 2004. That was also the year in which they released their last album, Really Really Happy, though the audience will probably be baying for earlier numbers like 'Oh Nina' and 'Kids in America'. Support comes from Tokyo indie heavyweights the Sokabe Keiichi Band.
