We'd had White White Sisters pegged as an obvious successor to Boom Boom Satellites, but drummer Kazumasa Ishii rather screwed up that analogy when he quit the group earlier this year, leaving only guitarist-vocalist-knob-twiddler Yuya Matsumura and VJ Kouta Tajima. His departure doesn't seem to have put a dent in the Sisters' ambitions, mind you: they're holding the first in a planned series of gigs at Womb this Friday, with the help of a few like-minded artists. Local dubstep kingpin Goth-Trad appears in Berserker, his occasional collaboration with Wrench drummer Murochin, with additional sets from electronica producer Evala and 1980yen, a Nagoya duo who make dance music with home appliances. No, really.
