Time Out says

It goes without saying that Rivers Cuomo and Japan get along pretty well. Sure, his wife hails from this corner of the world, but the Weezer frontman also speaks Japanese well enough to get a good patter going with live audiences, and is even working on an album with Allister's Scott Murphy that's sung predominantly in nihongo. In the run-up to their appearance at Asian Kung-Fu Generation's Nano-Mugen Fes. 2011 at Yokohama Arena, Weezer are playing a couple of more intimate shows at Zepp Tokyo, where they'll be revisiting their first two albums alongside a selection of greatest hits. The first show will revolve around songs from 1994's eponymous debut, a.k.a. The Blue Album, while the second looks back to 1996's Pinkerton.
