Wrench 20th Anniversary

Time Out says

Wrench still sounded like a fairly regular hardcore band when they released their debut mini album in 1994, the same year they (wisely) changed their name from Fight For Your Right. But a fateful trip to Goa soon afterwards turned vocalist Shige into an enthusiastic trance fan, and he's been finding ways to incorporate elements of dance music – including synthesizers, programmed beats and psychedelic effects – ever since. It'll be interesting to see whether there's more moshing or straight-up dancing at the group's 20th anniversary show this weekend, where they're joined by dub/post-rock act Arakajime Kimerareta Koibitotachi e and jam band Dachambo.
