It's looking like another special evening for dubheads at Koenji's Grassroots, where local label Black Smoker celebrates international sound system operative Killer-Bong's birth with a jazz-tinged mixture of tunes. The birthday boy himself will be firing away material from the seventh and latest release in his Sax Blue mixtape series – expect a smooth fusion of everything from bossa nova to free jazz – while a number of yet-to-be-announced special guests are also scheduled to take the stage.
