The Ocean's Bar

As is the custom for summer, Yokohama's Grand Oriental is transforming its rooftop into a bar from which you can admire the illuminated ferris wheel nearby and the rest of the city's night scenery. This year, the theme is 'night cruising while enjoying tapas' (a bit long, sure, but at least it means something): in short, enough Spanish-inspired small bites to make you think you've taken a trip to San Sebastián, minus the flight and language. Olives marinated in orange and lemon, Galician-style squid and mini-paella are all found on the casual menu, while the creative boozy mixtures are complemented by San Sebastián's local poison, Chacolí (or Txakoli, if you're Basque).
