With so much great techno being produced right here in Tokyo, why does the capital's club scene still seem so dependent on imported talent? That question is one of the many that inspired Tokyo Techno Society, a new project brought into being by five of the city's genre greats. Headed by the indomitable DJ Nobu, who has done more than practically anyone else to promote Tokyo-made techno globally, the quintet also includes Future Terror's Haruka, producing stalwarts Wata Igarashi and Iori, and Labyrinth festival resident So. For this second edition, the gang will be joined by Gonno, who'll be playing an extra-long 'chill out' set in the sub-room. If techno is what moves you, then you owe it to yourself to stop by Vent on Friday night.
