Always popular with Tokyo foodies, the Odakyu department store's Hokkaido Fair returns for its winter edition with a programme focused on Ezo-awabi, the kind of high-grade abalone that occasionally commands hair-raising price tags at upscale supermarkets across town. You won't have to pay through the nose here, though, as delicacies like bento boxes combining the above-mentioned abalone with ingredients like wagyu steak and crab start from under ¥2,000. If you're not in the mood for seafood, try the Diamond Dust Butadon (pork over rice, ¥1,380) or the monstrous-sounding Cream Cheese Miso Ramen (¥1,200). Note that some of the dishes are sold in limited amounts on each day.
