2014 Kimono Fair: Dreams

Naganuma Shizu Kimono Gakuin, a specialist school teaching students all there is to know about Japan's traditional garment, holds its autumn school festival in the plum surroundings of Mejiro's Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo. Open to the public for the first time this year, this two-day fair features one of the top kimono fashion shows in the country, in addition to dressing, makeup, hair setting and accessory-making workshops. Should be a great opportunity for learning more about both the practical and the cultural aspects of the kimono.
